Three stories, three exhibitions, one day

Join us for an amber celebration in Gdańsk

On June 27 at 12:00 p.m., the Amber Museum in Gdańsk will host the openings of three temporary exhibitions: “Bursztynowa Apteka. On the Healing Properties of Amber Then and Now,” “Inspiracje Muzyczne. 50 Years of Andrzej Adamski’s Creative Work,” and a presentation of works created as part of the project “Bursztynowy Reset Głowy 2.0.” The openings will take place the day before World Amber Day, a celebration that highlights the significance of a raw material linked for centuries with the history of Gdańsk, Pomerania and the Baltic Sea region.

Baltic amber in medicine

The “Bursztynowa Apteka” exhibition presents the place of amber in the history of medicine - from old recipes and medicinal uses to contemporary research. Visitors will be able to see, among other things, a reconstruction of a medicine prepared according to a recipe by Nicolaus Copernicus, as well as unique exhibits connected with the Gdańsk pharmacist and researcher Otto Helm.

Musical inspirations of Andrzej Adamski

Andrzej Adamski’s anniversary exhibition presents his original jewelry and amber objects inspired by music. A special place is taken by unique conductor’s batons that combine art, emotion and craftsmanship. Both exhibitions can be seen until September 27, 2026.
