Aerial view of the AMBEREXPO hall during Gdańsk Jewellery Week 2026: aisles of booths full of visitors

Gdańsk Jewellery Week 2026: 8,000 Visits and 250 Exhibitors

8,000 visits, over 250 exhibitors and three days of meetings around amber, design and craft. Gdańsk Jewellery Week showed how to popularize Baltic amber beyond the industry.

A few dozen feet from a booth with original jewelry, children were searching for amber using UV light. Nearby, someone was finishing grinding their first piece of Baltic amber. Someone else was admiring the Amberif Design Award exhibition “Magia Materii” (Magic of Matter) or the exhibition “Cisza” (Silence) by the Association of Goldsmithing Form Makers, part of Prezentacje. This is what every day of Gdańsk Jewellery Week 2026 looked like.

Another Life of Amber

For three days, the AMBEREXPO halls lived and breathed Baltic amber. Not only the amber locked in display cases, but above all amber as told by people: designers, craftspeople, collectors and enthusiasts. More than 250 exhibitors presented their offerings, 136 of them directly connected with amber. Makers came to Gdańsk from Poland, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia and India. The festival recorded about 8,000 visits.

Residents, Tourists and Families with Children

The most interesting thing, however, was who visited the festival. Not only designers or industry representatives. In the halls you could meet families with children, students, residents and tourists. Some viewed the exhibitions, others talked with makers, and still others learned about amber craft and worked with Baltic amber themselves. For many people it was a first step into a world they had previously known only from museums or shop windows.
