Gdańsk Jewellery Week 2026: Spoiler Alert 2027 at the Amber Museum

“Spoiler Alert 2027” is already the second edition of a series presenting and documenting original projects by students and graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. The exhibition shows what the future of contemporary jewelry might look like.

In the Experimental Design Studio, housed in the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, semester and diploma projects are treated as opportunities to seek innovative solutions in the field of design.

Digital Design and Craft

The focus is on the design possibilities that arise when digital tools meet traditional methods of work, including goldsmithing. The co-authors of the vision for the 2027 edition are Martyna Bit, Antonina Grabarczyk, Natalia Gracz, Martyna Golińska, Gabriela Kozłowska, Martyna Szczotka and Paulina Śmigiel.

In Search of a Contemporary Form

The works presented in the exhibition show different ways of searching for a contemporary form, from more experimental approaches to those focused on function, technology and material. Among these explorations there is also a subtle local accent: Baltic amber.

The exhibition is curated by Zuzanna Franczak. In cooperation with Prof. Sławomir Fijałkowski.
