Gdańsk Jewellery Week 2026: Daria in the Land of Amber

Another exhibition you can admire on October 2-4 during Gdańsk Jewellery Week will take us into the extraordinary amber world of Daria Dorbur Burkowska.

Since childhood the artist has gained experience working with Baltic amber under her father's guidance. For more than 30 years she has combined knowledge with craft practice and a contemporary approach to this noble resin.

Nature and Light

In her pieces she always emphasizes the natural features of the material: its structure and light. The exhibition is full of necklaces, pendants, rings and brooches with a variety of natural forms of Baltic amber. The unique white, black, cognac and honey-colored ones are striking. The artist also presents natural icicles, amber chunks and decorative objects.

Fashion Shows

Daria Dorbur Burkowska's collections are presented at fashion shows. The exhibition will include photographs and films from these events. Twój Styl magazine described one of them this way: “In the second part, in which Iwona Jaworska, creator of the Yavorska brand, presented her designs, we saw sensual gowns and coats of various weights in a neutral palette: white, ecru, beige, caramel and black. They were paired with the expressive Dorbur jewelry of Daria Burkowska, who designed necklaces and pendants made of cream, cognac and black amber set in silver and wood especially for the show.”

Jewelry on the Runways

Daria's jewelry was presented on the runways by Katarzyna Butowt, Karolina Ferenc and Lidia Popiel. She herself took part in the Personality Show during the Amber Vibes 2026 Gala. The artist also carries out charitable and educational activities, running workshops, among others at the Amber Museum in Gdańsk.
