Stories Captured in Form in Puck, Only Until the End of August!

This is your last chance to admire, at the Puck Town Hall, another exhibition promoting Gdańsk, the world capital of amber. This year the exhibition is a multi-threaded story about contemporary jewelry art, craft and artistic interpretations of Baltic amber.

Amber Essence

The first part of the exhibition, titled “Amber Essence,” presents the work of Gdańsk artist Dorota Cenecka, a master of amber work and goldsmithing who has for more than thirty years created unique jewelry combining Baltic amber with precious stones, silver and gold. Her jewelry has been shown at numerous exhibitions and fashion shows in Poland and abroad.

Prezentacje 2026 Cisza

The second part of the exhibition consists of the finalist works of the 22nd International Goldsmithing Art Competition PREZENTACJE 2026 (Presentations 2026), held this year under the theme “CISZA / SILENCE.” It is an exceptional collection of contemporary art jewelry by makers from many countries, reflecting on silence, mindfulness, absence and emotions captured in form.

Bursztynowe Rzemiosło 2026

The third part of the exhibition is “Bursztynowe Rzemiosło 2026 – tradycja i nowe pokolenie złotników” (Amber Craft 2026: Tradition and the New Generation of Goldsmiths), featuring works presented as part of the 23rd National Competition of Goldsmiths and Jewelers named after Karol Kowalski. It is a meeting of tradition and modernity and a space where one can see both the work of experienced artists and that of young newcomers to the jeweler's art.

The exhibition in Puck shows how diverse, alive and inspiring contemporary amber work remains. It is also a fine testament to the fact that Baltic amber remains an important part of Pomeranian heritage, and continues to inspire successive generations of makers. The exhibition is organized by the Union of Polish Maritime Cities and Municipalities, the City of Gdańsk, the City of Puck, the Association of Goldsmithing Form Makers, the Pomeranian Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie SA (Gdańsk International Fair Co.).
